Just to say we did
have some sunny days this summer, here are some photos taken from NGS
Gardens Open day in June. After 21 years of opening we decided this
would be our last, we have enjoyed doing it, but it is jolly had work.
Two weeks before we
were in Bude with Harry and Irene and again were lucky to have splendid
weather.
We celebrated our 58th wedding anniversary at our
favourite inn, the Saracens Head at Symmonds Yatt. We have also
explored some gorgeous gardens this summer, notably Bourton on the Hill,
Kiftsgate and two in Wiltshire when we stayed near Bradford on Avon, the
Courts Garden and Great Chalfield Manor.
We couldn't resist journeys on steam trains of course, the Severn
Valley Railway while staying in Shropshire, and great day with
Juliet, Steve, Rosie and Fred on the Watercress Line. They had a
good holiday in Ullswater (paddle boarding) and in Swaledale where
they stayed in a cottage as well as using the camper van.
Rosie has had a successful eventing season on Denver, culminating in taking
part at Blenheim Horse Trails in September.
Jon, Bex, Katie and the dogs also had a short camper van holiday venturing
as far as the Isle of Skye. Their main holiday to celebrate Bex's
50th birthday was to more exotic climes, an African safari in Kenya.
Harry completed the
Oxford half marathon and gets married to Molly in February.
Charlie and Hannah are enjoying a posting to Shropshire.
Wishing everyone a very happy and healthy 2025.
