CURRICULUM  INTRODUCTION

At Brize Norton Primary School we want our children to love learning.  We want them to be excited by an interesting and relevant curriculum which ensures that they succeed but also provides them with many memorable experiences.

We strongly support the creative curriculum approach and opportunities for cross curricular activities which link learning to real situations and have a practical approach. Pupils are actively involved in decision making regarding topics. As a result, we are continually looking at ways in which we can make our topics more exciting and adventurous. We are currently developing our whole school themes which were very positively received by children and parents in 2011 - 2012.

As a school we encourage all parents and pupils to fully engage in topic work through clear curriculum overviews and letters to parents outlining visits, visitors and events used to support these topics. These enable parents and pupils to be more involved in the topics together.

In this curriculum area you will find the learning overviews and class letters. These provide detail about the curriculum by age and subject.  Watch this space as we confirm whole school themes and class topics for 2012-2013.

Visit the policies area to read our full curriculum policy.
